I was born in Cuba and my first interactions with technology happened with an 80s Atari that kept breaking down. I remember my Uncle helping me rewire the controllers and the inside of the system. Since then, I have loved working on technology.
Although I studied business and finance, I always find myself working on systems, software and technology. While I studied at Georgia Tech I kept my finances afloat by starting my own tech suppport business "tidyPC." After that I was hired by Lockheed Martin to negotiate C-130 contracts. I ended up a Microsft Access database to track all their contracts. This was my first experience with development of in a Professional environment. I made the front end and wrote all the SQL that supported the application.
I now work as a Financial Systems manager for a food chemicals company. I created a few applications for this company. The most important was a strategy and budgeting tool also running in Access. This did all of the company financials over a 5 year period and required a great amount of SQL and integration with legacy systems.
Most recently, I completed a Full Stack Development bootcamp that has allowed me to improve my skillset beyond databases. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing full stack application that bring together database, javascript and a web based front end. Please see my portfolio for some of my recent work
